Dreamweaver Website Portfolio*IMPORTANT - all items for your website must be contained in the Portfolio Web folder!
*IMPORTANT - remember to save every time you make a change! *Click the Globe icon in the bottom right at any time to view in Chrome browser! Steps to prepare for your website A-Copy and paste all final files into the Projects folder in your web folder - JPEGs, MP3s, MP4s. B-Convert SWFs to MP4s in Animate - put new MP4's in Projects folder C-Download Portfolio Web folder and place in Documents folder D-Take a photo of yourself for homepage. Make a new corrected sized document in Photoshop and drag your photo in and transform to fit. Save the new sized photo as 115x115photo.JPG E-Make 300x200 thumbnails of each project using the 300x200.psd template in the Portfolio Web folder under inside the projects folder. Associate each project with the proper software icon in each thumbnail. Save each final thumbnail as as GIF (ex. 300x200jazz.GIF). Do this by File>Export>Export As>GIF. Save these new images in the projects folder. You will create only 18 of these. F-Open Dreamweaver and Open the PortfolioWebsite.html file G-Edit the following items on the page by double clicking on the text box fields: 1-Name 2-Title 3-About you paragraph 4-Contact info 5-Name of high school, years attended (expected grad if not a senior), activities involved 6-Computer skills - list software learned in order of what you fill know the most top to bottom 7-Work Experience - list jobs worked, description of job, things you did at the job. List 2 max H-Add the thumbnails for your Portfolio section and link them to the files in the Projects folder of the Portfolio Web folder I-Change the Copyright info from My Website to your First and Last Name J-Create your resume in Google Docs or Word and save a copy as a PDF file. Add the link to your resume where it says Download my Resume on your website. K-This project will be graded at your desk. You will not send this on the dropbox. |
