STEM Process Project
Descriptive animations are commonly used to visually portray a complicated process or machine. They allow the audience to see how the components of a system work together and educate themselves more effectively on often misinterpreted information.
In this project, you will use your Adobe Flash skills to create a descriptive animation that illustrates a process or device related to STEM technology. Some example systems include a wind turbine, geothermal heat pump, photovoltaic panel, light tube, etc. You will use your skills in Adobe Flash to visually describe how this process or device works. The ultimate goal is to education your audience on your chosen piece of STEM technology. Keep in mind that it might require a little research ahead of time. The instructor will be available for help with coming up with a good idea, and properly executing it.
As you work, save your project as a .fla and name it lastname + first initial + STEM.fla. When you are finished, export it as a .SWF file with the same name (ex: pettywSTEM.SWF). Submit the .SWF file using the form below. Don't forget to review the rubric to make sure you are meeting all of the project requirements!
